Why Is The Cable Company Trying To Pull Me In?

We all know that today its really difficult to know who is telling the truth about something when they are selling a product and with some things it can become a big problem fast.

We all like to come home at night and watch television, and when the satellite TV providers are compared to leading cable providers who try to pilfer customers into a expensive monthly fees that keep going up, yeah they will tell you how great they are too.

DirecTV customers receive premium programming at a very reasonable rate when compared to cable. Compared to cable TV, DirecTV offers much more value and entertainment with extra packages for sports! They also give you an incredible variety of TV channels, greater value, and superior customer service along with the free installation. The same might be true for the cable company but when the first bill comes you will see the difference then and if you have cable it wont be a nice difference, then add that to the fact that without paying extra you don’t get local stations for news and weather.

So, what is the extra cost about? Well, it must be their fancy television advertisements because it’s not in the service. Get more information on satellite advantages

What Is All The Fuss

There has been a lot of talk when it comes to television today and for good reason although many people just do not understand what all the fuss is about.

What the fuss is about is HDTV , this is television like no other, there are pictures that are so crisp and clear that in some cases it’s like you are there in person, up close and real personal. The reason for this is how the signal is sent to a television or a HD box that turns the signal it is sent into a clearer resolution than what would be sent to a standard display resolution television.

When it comes to HD televisions they are digital and they have more lines of resolution and the pixels on HD is 1366X768 while on a standard television set it is 1280 X 720 pixels which is a huge difference. The amount of pixels while to the naked eye are small dots that when this much are even to small to see and these dots all put together are what makes the pictures appear on the screen. The more pixels the clearer the pictures, then add a satellite service like Directv and this is television at its best with the best picture possible.

Many people believe this is where television is heading, that in order to see any television programming transmission signals they will have to own an HD television and that just is not the case. However, once a person who has a standard television sits down and watches a program that is transmitted in HD there is little more convincing to do because of the picture that can be seen on high definition is so real, so life like and since the prices have come down on these televisions there are few reasons why a person would not want to watch one over a standard television.

Owning an HD television is not enough; programs cannot be watched in HD unless the programs are transmitted in high definition signals. This is becoming less of a problem with more shows being transmitted in HD and there are also service providers like Directv that transmits many of their programs in HD as well as the most sports programs with their special packages.

For the person that owns a standard television there are HD boxes that can be used and while they might make the picture better, it is still not the same as the digital high definition television set.

Analog TV Is Coming To An End

Almost anyone that watches television has heard the news about the analog signals coming to an end, in effect this means that for people who watch their local stations with an antenna soon they will not have stations.

Yes, it is true; the Senate had a vote that placed a law into effect that gives local broadcasters until April 7, 2009 to end their transmission in analog.

This gives viewers of local channels a few choices and they are to purchase a box that will unscramble the signal, buy a new television that is digital and the other choices are to get satellite TV or cable.

In some peoples minds the decision is very clear and the choice is satellite TV, this is because it is cheaper than cable for one, it will also out last this new box that people can purchase until another change is made in the transmission signal and then they will be without TV again.

When a television viewer has satellite TV they have so many advantages without the worry of changes in transmission signals like the analog to digital signal change that is going to be made.

The benefit over cable is also clear, cable prices keep rising and their tv programming is getting no better as well as the picture quality, with satellite TV there is the choice of several different packages that gives the viewer just what they want at a reasonable price and many of the programs are transmitted in crystal clear HD.

If things were not so good with having the choice of satellite television satellite tv and the different packages they offer it would be kind of sad that analog television transmission is coming to an end. Analog television has far out lasted many things and always been there for viewers for the past sixty years with original programming that brought faces to what was one time a radio voice and then on to the local six o’clock news that in the early days every family watched each evening.

This is where Direct TV deals will come to the rescue that viewer who still wants to see their local six o’clock news with their packages that can be added for local programming. Then add to that the channels that can bring back the older programs that children could watch without parental monitoring and the stations with the new movies for the entire family and just for the adults. This makes the loss of analog easy to deal with because you can have it all the new the old and the local programs.
