New Channels and Programs coming to DirecTV Mas
The research is in and while there has been variety of Spanish language programming DirecTV has offered the most and will be adding more channels and programs. It was all discussed at the New World Stages complex in Manhattan in a media event held May 15th.
At this time there are approximately 45 channels for Spanish viewers and the new research that is out shows that Spanish speaking households that subscribe to a satellite provider out weight the number of households that subscribe to cable and this totals approximately nine million households. This of course means a large market for the satellite companies as well as the cable companies.
Some of the channels that can be seen are MEGA-TV, Centroamerica TV, TYC Sports and Azteca America, which is a national feed. These are just a sample of what is on Dircet TV Deals that is transmitted in the Spanish language TV for viewers that are seeking entertainment in this language with more channels to come.

The Starz company is own by Liberty Media who is also the parent company of Direct TV Deals , so it is needless to say that Starz subscribers who are subscribers of DirecTV will have the great movie experience with many of their favorite movies that will now be in HD as of sometime in July.

While they are not quite new to television having started their own company in Toronto named Outdoor Insights Television Co. heading to satellite television is something that they have been working toward according to Nate Cline so that they can leave their day jobs and turn their days into a hunting vacation.
Prior to coming to satellite they have sold DVD’s of their hunting adventures that they found had a large market.
Now these twelve guys can be seen during their hunting adventures on channel 611 on DirecTV .
Las Vegas Station Gives Viewers Preview Of Change
One local television station decided to give their viewers a taste of what is to come when analog signals go digital.
KVBC-TV is an NBC affiliate and they recently showed viewers what it would look like after the change that is coming February 17, 2009. They did this in an effort to show viewers what they are going to see during seven news broadcasts on May 2nd.
What the home viewer saw was simulated static and a fuzzy screen as well as simulated blackouts. After which they explained to viewers that this is what they would see if they are not prepared and then added a Direct TV phone number and an online website.
They also explained that viewers that currently have a digital TV , satellite provider or cable provider would not have their programming disrupted.
KVBC-TV has explained they wanted their viewers to be aware of the coming changes so that they would know this change is coming and what they will need to do so they can continue watching the NBC affiliate.
In other comments it was reported that they were praised by the FCC for what was considered a bold move according to Lisa Howfield, the stations general manager.
The Black Boxes Are In Stores
The change is coming and it is being made very apparent for anyone that watches their local TV channels, there are commercials and ticker tapes across the screen on the top or bottom during programs.
The most significant sign of the coming change is that the converter boxes are now beginning to appear in some of the electronics stores.
So, the question now is who needs one of these boxes and who does not?
The answer is anyone who does not use a satellite TV or cable provider will need one of these boxes, unless their television is rather new and has a digital tuner. This is the person who is still using rabbit ears or the antenna on their roof to bring in a clear signal to their television.
Also, any television in the home that does not have the satellite tv or cable receiver box will also need one, however with the offers by providers there is not much of a reason not to have a receiver on each television in the home.
Taking Satellite TV To the Outdoors
Its warm weather and with it comes outdoor activities and some days the family wins out over the fun of watching the game and of course your thinking wouldn’t it be great to do both. There are a lot of campers that do just that, a dish on a tripod and their AC/DC television or even a regular TV when they have electric at the site.
With satellite TV it is possible to do many things outdoors and take it with you , when you think about it the same way that it is hooked up for camping with the dish on a tripod there is no reason not to take it anyplace .
Taking it to the backyard barbeque is easy, but with an AC/DC television and a dish on a tripod how about the tailgate party, the beach, the picnic or other places you might find your self for the day.
The advantage of this is there is no need to miss the game or whatever programs you might want to see when it is not difficult to set this up. An AC/DC television means that you plug it into the cigarette lighter and you have television , the dish on a tripod means you have a signal and a receiver between the two means you have all the channels you do at home.
Sports Whose Got What?
When it comes to the sports fan there is nothing that can please them more than a Saturday afternoon game, so when it comes to satellite television there is the sports packages and they have something for every sports fan.
There are channels that allow the fan to follow their teams and the ability to have more than one game at a time on the screen. Plus there are real time stats and game highlights that can’t be found anyplace else.
Some of the channels in the sports pack are NBATV, which of course is NBA action, there is the Outdoor channel, TVG that is the Interactive Horseracing Network, then there are the FSN channels and ESPN U for college sports. There are also channels like Fox Soccer, Fox Sports and Sports Time to name just some of what sports fans can find on with DirecTV Sports Pack .
These channels can keep a fan current on all the sports information and keep them in the chair all season watching game after game or more than one at a time and when you can’t that is a good reason to use the DVR features that can record up to 50 hours in HD.
What To Do When You Have Remote Programming Problems
Anyone who has satellite television has bought a TV in the past ten or so years know that the remotes today are not just a remote.
The remotes today once they are programmed handle everything from the surround sound system to the DVR and sometimes they can cause problems or be difficult to program properly. Not to mention there are all kinds of buttons that does all kinds of different functions.
There are answers when the manual that came with the remote just does not seem to do it for you, there are message boards on the Internet just for programming remotes for DirecTV , there is also demos that can be found on the Internet and other information to explain the remote better.
Not everyone that has satellite TV understands the technical part of the remote and to understand it and get the full benefits of it, it is good to know that there is help and of course one call to DirecTV will have an agent on the phone to explain it step by step.
What Experience Can You Get From Your TV?
The real DirectTV fan can have the ultimate experience, with a satellite TV hookup, a Dolby surround sound system and of course the packages that keep you coming back.
Dolby surround sound systems come with several speakers, including a woofer, and when set up properly can give the viewer a real theater experience. There are many stereo stores that have different selections of surround sound systems to fit every budget.
When you have the many popular movie channels that are offered with satellite programming it is like being at the movie theater without the uncomfortable chairs or the person who seems to be in the way in front of you.
There are also the receivers that are available with DVR capabilities, this means you can record the movie, the game or whatever program that sparks your interest to watch on your home theater setup when you have time.
A setup like this can make even the most experienced couch potatoes excited about the new way they have to view television and the only thing that could make it better is to add a high definition television into the mix.
DirecTV Is Growing And Has Numbers To Prove It
The popular satellite company DirecTV is growing and with the release of their first quarter earnings they can back up the claims that they are indeed growing. The offers just keep getting better
Their profit margin rose approximately 10 % this first quarter and to add to that their have been 275,000 new subscribers in the United States alone, making their growth show in trading as 17%.
They have also gained 14% from an increase of high definition and video recording demands in the United States.

What Can You Do With A Standard Television
Everyone is now convinced that standard television programming is coming to an end in 2009 and if you are not sure about it tune in to the local channels, many of them are running a ticker tape on the top or bottom of the program to inform the viewer that the need for a converter box to continue to view their channel will be needed by February of 2009. They will also inform the viewer that the government is subsiding this and upon contacting the phone number they have set up they will receive help for the purchase of this box.
On the other hand many of these viewers have just made the easy choice to switch over to satellite TV and this is because if they have called to see what cable is for the same type of programming it changed their mind quickly and satellite is such a small cost that it is easy to rationalize it for the viewer of local channels.
Now for what to do with the standard television, if you have switched to satellite then the question is answered, you will be using it to view programs.
If you have a standard television and are replacing it with a digital or HD television to have better programming with your satellite TV package then the standard television is sitting idle.
There is no reason for that, there is nothing wrong with it, it is not broken it is just out dated, just as older computers that can no longer get on the Internet. These televisions will serve well as one for a room that might not have one now with a DVD player hooked up to it movies can be watched at any time. For the family that has children who have to wait or have limited time to play their Xbox or Play Station games for when there is not a good program on can now have their game hooked up to this television and can play as many hours as they are allowed too.
These are just some of the things you can do with the standard television that works properly but is just becoming out dated by the winter of 2009 and it beats tossing it out, it also adds enjoyment with movies in the spear room or as a screen for the children’s games and game boxes.
Taking The Satellite TV On The Road
Its warm weather and with warm weather comes outside fun and that includes things like camping and if you’re a camper yes its fun the first night around the fire telling scary stories and roasting marshmallows.
By the second night the fun is starting to get to the whole family and what you would not give to have the television. That would sure get everyone settled down fast.
Taking a television and a DirecTV dish is not a crazy thought there are a lot of campers that do just that, the have gotten an extra dish and this dish is used for campouts. There are even tripods that can be bought to mount the dish on so that it is stable and can be moved about the camp site to bring in the signal.
When you think about it, it is a great way to calm the kids down before bed and a good way not to miss the game while the children are playing in the fresh air.
Best of all its easy to do, a call to DirecTV and for a small fee on the months that it will be in use, an extra dish and a tripod your set for movies, children’s programs and the important games and races.
DirectTV Plus What's All The Fuss
Lately everything you read about any of the television providers, satellite or cable it’s all about their receivers and what they offer.
One that is pretty impressive is the Direct TV Plus HD DVR because of some of the things it can do like recording two hundred hours of standard television, that means recording an entire season of a favorite show, it can even be set to record that show in advance where it records even if you forget. That is not even where the recording feature stops on top of the two hundred hours there is also room for 50 hours of HD programs.
There is a feature in it that allows searching the channel guide for fourteen days in advance, so you and you can even pick out that HD program that you want to record on the same night as the series that your recording.
The plus really is a plus because you can record two shows at one time and watch something else at the same time.
This receiver also has theater quality sound with Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound, so with all these features it seems like this receiver has a lot to offer for being a satellite TV receiver.
Now you have to wonder what they are going to add for their next receiver.
DirecTV Buying 180 Connect Inc.
DirecTv is in the news again this time for the purchase of 180 Connect Inc. that based on the $1.80 per-share price for their stock price and is going to cost DirecTv around $45.9 million and it will also allow them to control its lead installer in 45 cities around the U.S.
They previously contracted thirteen companies in these cities for installations, so now this will change with the buyout in Direct TV’s favor. While 80 Connect Inc. is Englewood based and employs approximately 4,750 employees at 85 different sites, which means for DirecTV with these new employees there won’t be a need to contract to outside suppliers for installations.
What’s next for the satellite television company, sports packages and partnerships, HD and they are buying out installation companies.
