What Is All The Fuss

What Is All The Fuss

There has been a lot of talk when it comes to television today and for good reason although many people just do not understand what all the fuss is about.

What the fuss is about is HDTV , this is television like no other, there are pictures that are so crisp and clear that in some cases it’s like you are there in person, up close and real personal. The reason for this is how the signal is sent to a television or a HD box that turns the signal it is sent into a clearer resolution than what would be sent to a standard display resolution television.

When it comes to HD televisions they are digital and they have more lines of resolution and the pixels on HD is 1366X768 while on a standard television set it is 1280 X 720 pixels which is a huge difference. The amount of pixels while to the naked eye are small dots that when this much are even to small to see and these dots all put together are what makes the pictures appear on the screen. The more pixels the clearer the pictures, then add a satellite service like Directv and this is television at its best with the best picture possible.

Many people believe this is where television is heading, that in order to see any television programming transmission signals they will have to own an HD television and that just is not the case. However, once a person who has a standard television sits down and watches a program that is transmitted in HD there is little more convincing to do because of the picture that can be seen on high definition is so real, so life like and since the prices have come down on these televisions there are few reasons why a person would not want to watch one over a standard television.

Owning an HD television is not enough; programs cannot be watched in HD unless the programs are transmitted in high definition signals. This is becoming less of a problem with more shows being transmitted in HD and there are also service providers like Directv that transmits many of their programs in HD as well as the most sports programs with their special packages.

For the person that owns a standard television there are HD boxes that can be used and while they might make the picture better, it is still not the same as the digital high definition television set.

HD is hard on the eyes when you first get it, and watching a program on it that is not HS is murder to the eyes.. It takes some getting used to..like anything else!
